Position Summary

 

As a Laboratory Technician in Beverage Systems, you will support development of Core Functionalities (extraction, foaming, dissolution) of new sustainable systems across in-home businesses in break-through product development, ensuring on quality target, on time launch by executing validation plans and creating test report according to internal standards. Proactively conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting on functional prototypes and continuously propose technical improvements. Establish and build competence in key Core Functionalities/Technologies.

A day in the life of a Laboratory Technician in Beverage Systems

 

  • Integrate System Performance knowledge (interaction of machine/product/packaging) in the interpretation of the results
  • Test new concept or new feature (could be new packaging or new machine part) and assess system during functional design of parts that drive Core Functionality of Beverage System
  • Propose, define and execute technical testing plan to master the interaction between machine/product/packaging for the purpose of best in-cup quality in a repetitive and robust "in-cup preparation" out of beverage systems 
  • Provide technical assistance during the commissioning of new projects
  • Build and provide broad understanding of interaction of machine/product/packaging in different beverage systems 
  • Develop competency in Core Functionalities (foaming / dissolution / extraction) of beverage systems
  • Create synergies through effective networking with all relevant R&D Units, Competence Streams, other labs and external partners 

What will make you successful

 

  • Bachelor's degree, ES, HES or other relevant education in Mechanical, biological/chemical 
  • Prior experience in laboratory work or R&D
  • Basic business understanding for R&D (finance, cost analysis, risk management)
  • Solid understanding of laboratory practice 
  • Good understanding of data analysis (MiniTab, Excel)
  • Familiarity in computation and basics mathematical functions as well as basic statistical analysis 
  • Fluency in English
