We are looking for a Channel Manager to develop channel strategies to win in the market by defining the channel picture of success and lead the development of complete channel solutions that better meet shopper & customer needs.  

A day in the life of...

  • Responsible for supporting Channel Manager Lead to define overall priority channels, across category strategies based on shopper and customer understanding and requirements in line with overall market strategies.
  • Responsible to develop individual Channel MBS & the development of Category Channel plans in line with overall market strategies with the respective Category Development Managers. Develop key commercial propositions for specified category at the Channel level.  
  • Responsible for providing the direction of the PTE investment levels in the channels and the profitability of the channel with the objective to drive growth in the channel 
  • Responsible for collaborating with Category team in driving SRM that fulfills retailer, shopper and consumer expectations. 
  • Responsible for recommending actionable channel solutions & key initiatives for the Channel overall recognising Category/ sub Category specific requirements. Drives implementation and continuously review the effectiveness of our in-store actions. (Example: Perfect Store)
  • Responsible for contributing channel inputs into the Integrated Commercial Planning process by identifying the key opportunities (incorporating shopper behaviour in that channel, channel specific promotional learnings, competitor analysis, channel pricing) and proposing channel development programmes relevant to customers in that channel. 
  • Responsible for developing multi category and regional opportunities for the business. Working closely with the category team and sales team to develop key specific activities.
  • Responsible to execute the Channel plan and develop the compelling channel category selling story and partner category and sales in delivering it to the Customer
  • Responsible to develop and integrate into the commercial planning processes the element of the Channel wheel and ultimately publish a picture of success for the Category in the Channel, enabling its implementation, continuous review and optimization.
  • Responsible to support the I2L NPD Process by contirbuting to build commercially aligned business cases and key initiatives that address the opportunity for future channel growth, leveraging our categories strategies.
  • Accountable & Responsible for recommending the in-store picture of success for the Category/ sub Category in each channel. Recommends actionable in-store solutions to support in-store vision. Supports its implementation and continuously review the effectiveness of our in-store actions.
  • Accountable and Responsible for sourcing, updating and communicating latest developments, trends, initiatives and competitive actions within the channel, assessing implications/opportunities for Nestle categories and brands. 
  • Responsible for working with Customer & Sales Planning team to define and develop channel strategy guided by Nestlé Commercial Framework. 
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to all company principles and policies.

What will make you successful

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Trade Marketing or Sales. 
  • Good record of success in a customer (not limited to Key Accounts) facing role. Understands customers and the field sales selling process.
