Category Demand Supply Planning Manager will lead the Demand and Supply Planning team in the business units to effectively apply the Best Practice and efficient processes, to ensure that finished goods are available to meet customer demand (Domestic and IMS), at the right stock location and with high Freshness, whilst minimizing cost. He/she must able to contribute to Strategic (3 years +) and Tactical (18 months) Business Planning via Monthly Business Planning and the Dynamic Planning Framewor & represent Supply Chain functionally in all aspects within the Business Units, developing capability of DP/SNP/PPDS and business insight to deliver high level of business results.
A day in the life of...
- Manage and maintain a skilled, motivated team of Demand and Supply planners to continuously improve the quality of the Demand and Supply Plans and the efficiency with which they are produced.
- Ensure continuing alignment with Business priorities, initiatives and activities, and the delivery of performance to agreed business and value stream KPI.
- Manage the relationship and the effective flow of information between the Demand and Supply Planning function and internal business partners such as Technical & Production, Customer Service, Logistics, Procurement, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Finance.
- Manage the relationship with Inter-Market Producers and Receivers to ensure efficient and cost-effective replenishment.
- Manage the relationship and effective flow of information between the Demand and Supply Planning function and external business partners such as Customers, service providers and vendors.
- Effectively contribute to the Nestlé Competitive Planning solution by active and constructive participation in the Market Business Strategy (MBS), Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP), Monthly Business Planning (MBP) and Dynamic Forecast (DF) processes.
- Effective management on Stock Cover policy in matters for Nestle DCs and Distributors for Finished Goods in terms of existing products and new products. Consider Production flexibility, DPA, MOQ’s while achieving required level of Customer Service.
- Provide direction and input based on latest business plan to the Factory inbound materials teams/MRP planners to ensure appropriate stock level of raw & packaging materials at each production facility to meet the planned production volumes at targeted stock levels.
- Provide reliable forecast and inventory projections and potential risks and opportunities to business unit and stakeholders which will serve as key inputs to drive business strategic.
- Provide prioritation to allocate raw & packaging materials with critical supply across all production sites and customers.
- Ability to drive NCE activities across DSP Planners and broader Supply Chain, Technical & Production and business units.
What will make you successful
- Seven or more years of relevant operational experience at market / business level is useful, in at least one of the following areas:
- Demand & Supply Planning
- Project Management in the area of DSP
- Leadership role in one of the functions across Generating Demand or other Ensuring Supply areas of:
- Sales / Marketing
- Technical & Production
- Customer Service
- Demand & Supply Planning
- Supply Chain Development
- Purchasing
- Desirable to have had worked on a leadership position in a LEAN organization, who has adapted LEAN concepts and tools as part of their way of working.
- Desirable to have had experience implementing LEAN concepts and tools.
