The Demand & Supply Planner to drive the demand and supply plan to ensure that finished goods are available, meet customer demand, at the right stock location and with high freshness, whilst minimising costs. Optimize the full Supply chain in starting and execution of projects in own organisation or at third parties, together with the Supply Chain Manager.
A day in the life of an Demand & Supply Planner (Nespresso)
- Develop and implement the Demand and Supply plan by applying best practices, improving processes, analysing sales history and forecast data
- Ensure that inputs from Marketing and Sales events, consumer & competitor information, other external / internal trends and influences which impact demand are captured on the 18 rolling months forecasts plan.
- Build the demand plan for a 18 month horizon by analysing sales history, developing expertise on coffee market and consumers, collecting and analyzing products and market events and challenge the hypothesis.
- Manage Phase in/ Phase out plan with Marketing and Commercial (B2B, B2C)
- Review and challenge forecast by Commercial teams
- Monitor and manage stocks at risk of OOS or BBD issues, work with HQ/ market peers in coordination of urgent shipment as necessary.
- Monitor and manage excess stocks and work with stakeholders to achieve a healthy stock level.
- Analysis of product sell-thru rate and identify SKU Rationalization opportunities.
- Manage boutiques supply auto replenishment system to ensure optimal stocks allocation to each Boutiques.
- Consistently improve Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA accuracy level and variability) and drive out systematic forecast bias through process improvement and problem solving activities.
- Implement outcome of Monthly Business Planning (MBP).
- Manage logistics service provider by overseeing Plans to logistic execution in imports & export, value-add in warehouse & product changes to ensure campaign launch on time.
What will make you successful
- Bachelor’s degree holder in Supply Chain Management.
- Professional and intellectual capabilities at higher professional education level.
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Demand & Supply Planning.
- Experience in the FMCG and/or retail industry, with a good understanding of sales operations and commercial processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage, interpret, and derive insights from large and complex datasets using advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Proven experience in managing the Sales & Operations Monthly Planning (SMOP) process, including stakeholder coordination, reporting, and performance tracking.
