We are looking for a Principal Packaging Engineer to deliver packaging support and solutions that meet current and future needs/expectations.
A day in the life of...
- Delivers optimal packaging solutions (protection, quality, pack sizing/pack fill, sustainability, cost) according to the needs (business, technical) for complex development projects/platforms.
- Leads complex new packaging material, solution/format and technology development projects leveraging internal and external stakeholders. Organizes the necessary analysis, trials and assessments.
- Provides packaging leadership to the region. Represents packaging R&D at regional level and within the iTeam for global developments platforms/accelerators. Manage packaging waste elimination (WE) projects and pipeline.
- Initiates new partnerships and long term strategic relationships with key suppliers and service providers to leverage their know-how, capabilities and innovation. Identifies and drives new opportunities with Shareholders.
- Identifies and recommends improvement of procedures, tools and systems. Provides packaging expertise to R&D, regions and key stakeholders.
- Develops people through coaching (technical, personal, organizational).
What will make you successful
- Bachelor or Master degree in packaging technology or relevant scientific or engineering discipline
- Minimum of 10 years experience in packaging, preferably in a food related environment
- Deep knowledge of packaging materials and technologies used by CPW, our competition and in the food and drinks sector
- Fluent in English and Malay, both written and spoken
