Position Summary:

 

As a Buyer for Packaging, you will play a pivotal role by collaborating closely with Procurement Managers in managing the commercial and sourcing activities for packaging materials utilized by Nestlé worldwide.

Reporting directly to the Global Category Lead/Category Manager, you will support the definition and the implementation for the category strategy on a regional level and strongly contribute on delivering the zone’s sustainability objectives.

A Day in the Life of a  Buyer - Packaging:

 

  • Support designated Procurement Manager for assigned tasks, such as data management, forecasting, project support and other tasks.
  • Interact with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to monitor and drive progress for cost initiatives, source to pay challenges, sustainability, and responsible sourcing initiatives.
  • Learn the fundamentals of procurement category management to serve as a backfill when needed in support of the extended packaging team.
  • Manage the day-to-day procurement support activities, RFx and contracting process for selected markets or businesses.
  • Help to develop and execute the category strategy to deliver value to the business from cost improvements, sustainability activities and ensuring supply. 
  • Manage less complex/small scale spend (category management).
  • Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies, and standards.

 

What will make you successful:

 

  • University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain and/or Engineering.
  • Proven first experience in Procurement.
  • Ability to work in an international and complex environment.
  • Strong command of Excel and at ease with SAP and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of National and International Procurement Regulations.
  • Fluent in English, another language will be an asset.
