Position summary 

We are seeking an expert in agricultural ingredients to step into the position of Global Procurement Manager – Fruits & Vegetables.  Based in Panama, you will manage the commercial and sourcing activities for Fruit & Vegetable Ingredients used by Nestlé. 

Reporting to the Global Category Leader, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy for the spend in scope, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies, negotiating contracts to ensure supply as per Business needs.

A day in a life of a Global Procurement Manager – Fruits & Vegetables

• Define and implement the category strategy for your portfolio of ingredients on a global level, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools, and policies.
• Drive value creation through TCO, risk mitigation, innovation, and sustainability initiatives.
• Manage relationships with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes into local budgets and price planning.
• Own supplier strategy, negotiations, and long-term partnerships at global level, and lead initiatives to enhance commercial excellence and operational resilience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain) to align procurement strategies with business needs.
• Engage in developing and implementation of Nestle Sustainability roadmap.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and responsible sourcing standards globally.

What makes you successful

• Significant experience in strategic procurement of raw or direct materials (agricultural ingredients preferred).
• Proven leadership of regional or global procurement initiatives in complex, multinational environments.
• Strong supplier and stakeholder relationship management skills, including communication, negotiation, influencing and presentation.
• Previous experience managing projects in complex, multi-national environment and strong problem-solving abilities. 

• English proficiency is essential; additional language skills are advantageous.
