Location: Panama City, Panama

Functional Area: Finance & Control

Direct Reports to: Head of Nestlé Treasury Centre Panama

Bachelor Degree required, +4 years of experience in insurance management

 

Position Summary

Support Group Risk Services Vevey strategy in implementing the Group Standards for Insurance and Risk Financing at regional level in compliance with local law & regulations. Service Nestlé entities located in the Latin American region with respect to Insurance and Risk Management (Business Continuity Management and Property Loss Prevention) matters in liaison with regional insurance providers.

A day in the life of...

1. Enforce Group strategy in terms of cost efficiency and control in relation to:

  •  Employee Benefits: Medical Expenses
  •  Marine / Transport recoveries following claims
  •  Standalone insurance policies (outside of Group global insurance programmes

2.   Enforce Group strategy in terms of reduction of risk and uncertainty:

  •  Property Loss Prevention
  •  Business Continuity Management
  •  Promote loss prevention measures such as safe driving program, marine loss prevention.

3. Ensure qualitative and regular reporting on:

  •  Claims activity; M&A activity; Renewal process and status (strong focus on premium payment); new major CAPEX (Greenfields, major extension, 3Pl warehouses, etc...)
  •  Any coverage extension request from Nestlé entities: GRS, Vevey must validate first
  •  Insurance suppliers: new or change of mandate being awarded by local entities; any deterioration of the insurer / broker level of service.

4. Participate and make suggestions on how to enhance and simplify existing processes in order to improve the speed and quality of outputs.

What will make you successful
  • Prior experience within insurance (insurer, broker, or within a risk management department of a company)
  • Prior experience in loss prevention (property, transport) and business continuity management
  • Prior experience in accounting, finance or legal would be beneficial
  • Proficiency in English, Spanish and Portuguese (Preferred)
  • Good organizational and planning skills
