Position Summary
We are currently looking for a highly competent Regional Procurement Manager based in Panama, responsible for managing the commercial and sourcing activities for our Nestlé US Cheese category.
Reporting directly to the Global Category Lead, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy for the spend in scope on a regional level, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies.

A day in the life of a Regional Procurement Manager for U.S Cheese
- Define and implement the category strategy for US Cheese, utilizing Strategic Sourcing processes, tools and policies.
- Manage the procurement spend and sourcing strategy for US cheese as well as the ESG strategy on GHG reduction and Responsible Sourcing.
- Develop and execute the sourcing strategy for US cheese, and manage the monthly US cheese policy process including recommendations on hedging strategy.
- Be the SPOC for key US cheese suppliers for sustainability and ensure that the suppliers and the cheese category meet their GHG reduction targets.
- Manage the relationship with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes in local budgets and price planning.
- Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.
- Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the sourcing strategy.
- Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.
What makes you successful
- University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics or Finance.
- Experience in Supply Chain/Procurement.
- Use of procurement tools such as ARIBA, E-Auction, Tendering, Contract management tools, Savings measurement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience within a strategic sourcing role, ideally gained within dairy or in FMCG
- Strong expertise in supplier management, ideally with exposure to the US dairy market.
- Experience in ESG climate initiatives with a specific emphasis on GHG reduction preferably within the dairy industry
- Direct experience with managing US dairy suppliers and in-depth understanding of the US dairy industry including but not limited to USA Federal Milk Management Order (FMMO)
- Demonstrated successful use of risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relationship management
- Significant experience with driving and delivering significant cost savings with key suppliers and working with cross functional stakeholders such as supply chain, R & D, Q.A, Logistics and Regulatory.
- Excellent presentation and influencing skills in communicating sourcing strategies, hedging recommendations and financials to key stakeholders.
- Fluency in English, another language will be an asset.
