Position Summary
We are currently looking for a highly skilled Regional Procurement Manager based in our global procurement hub in Panama City responsible for managing commercial and sourcing activities within the Global Logistics team.
Reporting directly to the Global Category Lead, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy for the Ocean Freight & other Logistics Category on a global level, by using strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies.

A Day in the Life of a Regional Procurement Manager – Ocean Freight:
- Define and implement the category strategy, utilizing Strategic Sourcing processes, tools and policies
- Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy.
- Manage the relationship with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes in local budgets and price planning.
- In partnership with Supplier Relationship Management Experts lead the planning and regular contract SLA reviews with suppliers and other functional partners.
- Identify and implement logistics optimization opportunities at markets.
- Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.
- Project management leadership capabilities.
- Manage, Guide and Coach the Logistics team, stakeholders and suppliers as part of the Global Logistics Senior Team
What will make you successful:
- University degree in Procurement, Business Administration and/or Supply Chain.
- Solid and well-established experience in sourcing for Logistics categories, ideally gained in the ocean freight category.
- Strong flexibility and mental agility to work in cross-functional and multicultural environment.
- Experience managing or procuring logistics services within the AMS regions (North America & Latin America)
- Demonstrated successful use of risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relation management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across a complex organization, and also externally with suppliers worldwide.
- Fluent in English, Spanish will be a valuable asset.
- Great interpersonal skills to work and adapt across cultures and personalities.
