Position summary

We are looking for a proven strategic thinker to lead the Dairy Category and Channel function with our New Zealand team by taking responsibility for developing and implementing channel strategies.

A day in the life...

You will play a pivotal role in driving the success with some of New Zealand’s most iconic household brands. You will demonstrate strong strategic thinking and a high level of commercial acumen.

•    Identify priority channels for the category and develop tailored channel category plans,
•    Identify the ideal product assortment, placement, pricing and promotional strategies.
•    Execute the channel, category & shopper plan by delivering customer specific selling documents tailored for multi-level selling within retailers.
•    Lead the integrated commercial planning process for the assigned portfolio.  Ensure cross functional participation and alignment.
•    Develop winning commercial propositions for all integrated commercial planning activity.
•    Effectively communicate sales execution targets and high level forecast to customer and field sales managers.

What will make you successful

•    Hold 3+ years of experience in category or commercial roles, ideally in sales or equivalent FMCG/data agency or similar commercial function (ie. Marketing).
•    Experience working in cross functional teams.
•    A strong ability to understand insights and translate into innovative plans. 
•    A high level of oral and written communication and presentation skills with strong experience using MS programs.
•    You possess significant interpersonal, networking and relationship skills with a proven ability to engage and influence.

Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and have Permanent Residency.
