In conjunction with the Confectionary Lead, develop the segment/category and channel agenda and develop and implement channel strategies for a world leading food and beverage company.

Position Summary

 

You will take ownership for segments within confectionary e.g. seasonal, medicated, chocolate (blocks & bars). This will be from a strategic, shopper and pricing perspective.

You will play a pivotal role in driving the success with some of New Zealand’s most iconic household brands. You will demonstrate strong strategic thinking and a high level of commercial acumen.

•    Identify priority channels for the category and develop tailored channel category plans.
•    Identify the ideal product assortment, placement, pricing and promotional strategies.
•    Define and execute the point of purchase vision of success, based on a clear understanding of shopper behaviour for the category in each priority channel. 
•    Develop winning commercial propositions for all integrated commercial planning activity.
•    Effectively communicate sales execution targets and high level forecast to customer and field sales managers.

What will make you successful


•    Hold 3+ years of experience in category or commercial roles, ideally in sales or equivalent FMCG/data agency or similar commercial function (ie. Marketing).
•    Experience working in cross functional teams.
•    A strong ability to understand insights and translate into innovative plans. 
•    A high level of oral and written communication and presentation skills with strong experience using MS programs.
•    You will need to be numerically sharp.
•    You possess significant interpersonal, networking and relationship skills with a proven ability to engage and influence.

 

COVID-19 vaccination may be required to perform this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination or medical exemption as part of our recruitment process.

 

Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and have Permanent Residency.
