Account Manager

Position Summary

A full time, permanent opportunity currently exists for an Account Manager to join our team based in Parnell, Auckland. 


You will be responsible for supporting and developing the Alternate Trade Channel strategy through the execution of customer plans and collaborative partnerships within new and existing customers.  You will also be responsible for implementing and continuously improving our customer strategies in achieving our business priorities.  From time to time, provide a support function to the other Key Account Managers in the team which may include project based work.
 

A day in the life of...


 
•    Ensure delivery of key sales targets within customer set.
•    Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to generate opportunities and deliver growth within existing customers.
•    Proactively seek out relevant new customers and develop compelling sales plans to onboard them.
•    Work to enhance relationships within existing customers to make Nestle a supplier of choice within their business.
•    Facilitate excellence by planning, communicating, anticipating, measuring results consistently and implementing learnings.
•    Work cross functionally with Category, Brand and Shopper teams to develop sales generating initiatives.
•    Proactively manage the dating / clearance stock process across all Business Units.

 

Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and have Permanent Residency.

We are looking for someone who is passionate, driven, has excellent communication and time management skills. You will have a hunger to learn and will thrive in a highly competitive commercial environment. This role is fast-paced and will require you to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.


In addition to the above, the successful candidate will have:


•    Minimum 2+ years sales experience, preferably within FMCG, with a demonstrated record of achieving sales targets.
•    Proficient in the use of MS Office – Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook.
•    Technically savvy and process orientated.
•    Understanding of sales and business selling process.
•    Experience in creating commercial relationships.
•    Excellent written communication skills and demonstrated ability to proof read and edit documents effectively.
