Nestlé Purina New Zealand (NPP) is looking for a Category & Commercial Planning Manager to lead our Product Placement strategy and manage our Commercial Planning tools & process. Reporting to the Head of Market Development (MDO), you will empower our Commercial & Field Teams with essential tools to achieve remarkable results. You'll manage key reports and build strong partnerships with agencies, all while identifying and addressing strategic opportunities to elevate our success.

A day in the Life…

 

  • Drive the MBP (Monthly Business Planning) process behaviours to identify strategic and executional gap identification and management
  • Develop and manage the full suite of MDO Centre reports, including Power BI report building and maintenance
  • Maintain and expand relationships with data and space planning agency partners.
  • Lead the Product Placement strategy that will deliver to business targets, based on a clear understanding of shopper behaviour and category dynamics.
  • Develop planograms that are aligned to NPP category strategy for all channels & customers 
  • Drive improvement in distribution through head office and store level insights and recommendations
  • Develop the Field Teams ability to deliver the Category Strategy via the development and use of MDO tools

 
What will make you successful: 

 

  • Ideally 5+ years commercial experience in a similar role, ideally in FMCG or Category Management.
  • Experience working with various FMCG sales channels, including Grocery. Experience in Pet Speciality would be valuable, but not a requirement.
  • Strong market and strategic sales, demonstrating a proven ability to achieve results and exceed expectations.
  • A natural collaborator with a proactive approach, capable of influencing others to foster growth in your category.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI report building.
