Reporting to Head of Category you will be responsible for leading the channel thinking of the commercial team, taking responsibility for developing and implementing channel strategies with a horizon of 12-36 months, Support Marketing in developing category strategies and developing the Point of Purchase strategies and standards for each Channel Category.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead development of Channel strategy, assisting the integration and application of Channel strategy into Customer plans, Develop clear Channel Attractiveness and Prioritisation. Define channel investment strategy for the category and lead development of Route to Market Strategy.
  • Lead development of Shopper insight, assisting the integration and application of Shopper insight into Customer plans
  • Lead understanding of Competitors by Channel, monitoring key Competitor activity at a Channel level, providing insight to plan for competitive advantage. Monitor global activity by major competitor
  • Drive the ICP process and ensure cross functional participation and alignment and ensure quality and timeliness of inputs/outputs
  • Ensure identified and aligned Category, Channel and Customer opportunities are reflected in MBS
  • Contribute to development of POP vision and lead the development of POP Strategies and Standards that support the category vision and objectives.
  • Lead the development of the TTS framework by Channel and Category and recommend (with sales) the optimal TTS budget for the category/business by channel
  • Lead the Commercial Proposition process, providing Channel and Shopper input and ensuring Customer input while commercialising the go to market proposition for all new initiatives by translating into a channel specific conceptual sell
  • Leading a team of two

You possess strong market and strategic sales experience within a FMCG environment and have a proven capacity to effectively deliver results while exceed expectations. You will be a natural collaborator with a strong proactive mind-set and be able to influence those around you to drive your account growth.

You will possess excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills as well as advanced computer literacy and analytical skill. Your conviction will set you apart as will your passion for sales and resilience to work within a fast-paced agile environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience with Sales and Marketing, specifically within Sales, Category or Channel.
