YOUR OPPORTUNITY
You will be responsible for leading the channel thinking of the Commercial team, taking responsibility for developing and implementing channel strategies with a horizon of 12-36 months. Moreover, you will work closely with Marketing in building both Category and Point of Purchase strategies. The role will also provide the opportunity to engage with Senior stakeholders across our business.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Lead the development of our Channel strategy, assisting the integration and application of our Channel strategy into Customer plans
•    Develop clear Channel Attractiveness and Prioritisation with key business stakeholders
•    Define Channel investment strategy for the category and lead development of Route to Market Strategy
•    Lead development of Shopper insights, assisting the integration and application of Shopper insights into Customer plans
•    Lead understanding of Competitors by Channel, monitoring key Competitor activity at a Channel level, providing insight to plan for competitive advantage. Monitor global activity from major competitors and highlight opportunities as appropriate
•    Drive the ICP process and ensure cross functional participation / alignment whilst ensuring both the quality and timeliness of inputs / outputs
•    Ensure identified and aligned Category, Channel and Customer opportunities are reflected in our Market Business Strategy
•    Contribute to the development of our POP vision and lead the development of POP Strategies and Standards that support the category vision and objectives
•    Lead the development of the Trade Spend framework by Channel and Category and recommend (with sales) the optimal Trade Spend budget for the category / business by Channel
•    Lead the Commercial Proposition process, providing Channel and Shopper input and ensuring Customer input whilst Commercialising the Go to Market proposition for all new initiatives


 

What will make you successful


•    At least 3 years’ commercial experience in a similar role ideally from a FMCG, data agency or consultancy environment
•    Strong market and strategic sales experience and have a proven capacity to effectively deliver results whilst exceeding expectations
•    Natural collaborator with a strong proactive mind-set and be able to influence those around you to drive your Category growth
•    Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills as well as advanced Excel and analytical skills 
•    Your conviction will set you apart as will your passion for sales and resilience to work within a fast-paced agile environment
