Bachelor’s Degree in financial accounting or equivalent accounting experience within a small/medium manufacturing company
Knowledge of manufacturing operations & its impact on cost & quality (ideally minimum of 2-5 years industry exp).
A DAY IN THE LIFE...
- To provide financial decision support to all departments in the factory, to enable decision making that will maintain a low cost highly efficient operation.
- To provide costing reports as & when required & have functional relationship with NTH finance, NPP TH Finance & NPP Zone AOA Finance.
- To provide back up support to the Factory Controller.
- Periodically conduct inventory check; monitor and report stock result status as well as assist in following-up with the warehouse and production for corrective actions.
- Order and control the stock of stationery and distribute to all departments in the Factory.
- Co-ordinate with RMP Department to prepare documents for inventory write-off approval.
- Prepare and provide information to internal and external parties e.g. BAG (Business Assurance Group), external auditors and the Revenue Department.
- Periodically prepare management reports, e.g. variance, non-quality costs, insurance, raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods inventory.
- Provide input/information to Cost Accountant to prepare weekly management reports e.g. variance, non-quality costs and stock cover.
- Periodically conduct the Technical Store check; monitor and report stock result status including follow-up with Engineering for corrective actions.
- Conduct cost variance analysis of products, and highlight deviation; distribute to all department heads and follow-up with concerned departments for corrective actions.
- Random check the inventory transactions and others e.g. labour, energy, etc. to ensure correctness.
- Print-out the stock card movement report and review the assigned part.
- File and maintain the gatepass for the Factory.
ARE YOU A FIT?
- Bachelor's Degree in financial accounting or equivalent accounting experience within a small/medium manufacturing company
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations & its impact on cost & quality (ideally minimum of 2-5 years industry exp).
- PC skills (knowledge of Windows based applications).
- Good Communication & facilitation skills.
- Good interpersonal skills – some ability to motivate others.
- Ability to assess the strengths & relevance of an argument & thinks in context. Accepts & manages change.
- Organizes oneself to ensure that plans are translated into action
