Nestlé Purina currently has a great opportunity for a results focussed professional to take ownership of the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne to Gippsland territory driving sales, distribution and growth. Our team of Territory Sales Managers enjoy a unique mix of customers including independent grocers, corporate & independent specialty retailers, as well as multi-site operators. This mix provides you the opportunity to incorporate all of your sales skills as you take on the role of category expert, influential negotiator, and customer business partner

 

Position Summary

This role is an ideal platform to launch a long term career with a leading, global FMCG, and it comes with great training and plenty of support from management.

Maximising sales results in your area, you’ll ensure our products are always available and continually seek new opportunities to maximise our in store visibility. Joining a passionate team you’ll enjoy a position that offers challenge, variety, responsibility and the opportunity to build a solid foundation in commercial sales activities. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Facilitating training sessions in-store with sales staff on Purina products and superior nutritional solutions
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with external customers and key internal contacts
  • Delivering customer sales through implementation and execution of Field Sales Cycle Plans
  • Ensuring customer/shopper engagement through shelf and merchandising strategies

 

Success in this position will develop your skills and open doors to ongoing career opportunities including progression prospects to our corporate head office (Sydney).

 

A day in the life of...

To succeed in this role, you’ll be an outgoing and commercially savvy person with a “can do” attitude who is ready to build an exciting career within a leading global FMCG. Covering a vast territory you will be comfortable spending time on the road approximately 4 nights away from home over a 4 week cycle. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are critical as you build positive relationships with your customers. A university degree (preferably in Business) and experience in a customer facing position is desired.
