We are currently looking to hire a Skilled Operator for the East and Southern Africa region to join our team in Potchefstroom, North West.

Position Summary

The Skilled Operator will ACHIEVE: Optimum Manufacturing line/equipment performance during his/her shift assuring Product quality & compliance to safety & Environment policies. ENSURE: Nett Mass is within legal tolerances

ENFORCE: The Nestle Quality System by adhering to NQS, HACCP & QMS in executing the job.

A day in the life of...

• Assist Line Fitter in setting up Filling Machines, Seamer, Capper, Labeller, Collator/Shrink wrapper, De-Palletiser as per POP for planned product & size
• Calibrate scales for size being filled
• Ensure correct labour complement available, advise Team Leader when short staffed
• Materials & liase with Processing for Product supply
• Operation of Filling & Packaging equipment
• At Start-up, ensure all machine parts are intact on Filling Machines, Seamer, Capper, Labeller, Collator/Shrink wrapper, De-Palletiser, Tote Tilts
• Ensure that line starts up on time
• Make appropriate adjustments as per procedure to achieve nett mass and hourly outputs to achieve
• Conduct CP checks on Vibratory Feeder sieves, Tote Tilt vibrator sieves & records

What will make you successful

Standard 10/Abet

Valid Forklift license

Computer literacy

Ability to update SAM & align with SAP

Competent in all identified process competencies as per Competency Matrix

Understand all safety regulations and apply them within the Factory
