Demand & Supply Planner

The main purpose of the job is to ensure that the best possible estimate of future demand is released to other Demand & Supply planning sub-processes on a weekly basis. Manage the Supply Planning process to ensure optimum availability of finished goods for customer deliveries for Inter-market supply at the lowest total costs (inventory & changeover over costs).

Main responsibilities:
* Review the various inputs to the demand plan in order to prepare a demand plan on a monthly basis for an 18 month horizon
* Prepare pre-MFR & MFR (Monthly Forecast), facilitate the meetings and adjust the demand plan based on the outcome of the MFR.
* Prepare weekly demand plans for the short horizon, review it weekly based on exceptions and make the corrective actions if the sales deviate from the forecasts. Ensure that significant changes in the demand plan are communicated to the appropriate colleagues in a timely manner
* Plan and co-ordinate events such a new product launches and promotion, based on input from Sales & Marketing. Check uplifts received from Sales and challenge them if necessary
* Follow-up product switching and major promotions. Post-evaluate activities
* Monitor and analyze demand plan accuracy to identify areas for improvement and take or propose corrective actions. Maintain reason codes and comments for the biggest deviations. Propose improvements in the process
* Maintain a cleaned demand history and a learning log
* Maintain master data and proportional factors
* Communicate significant changes in Demand to the producer ahead of the requirements and other changes required.
* Follow the weekly planning cycle and deadlines
* Communicate with receivers/producers about the timing of production for new product launches and discontinuation of products.
* Maintain the SAP APO & R3 master data up-to-date for the lifecycle of the products
* Ensure that discontinued products to not get produced
* Maintain the stock cover policy based on the stock cover tool
* Analyze the current stock situation at the Distribution Centre, foresee the stock evolution, timely advice Distribution to avoid storage capacity deficits

Your profile:
* Experience in Marketing, Sales or Production planning
* University Degree in Business Administration or Engineering
* English – Upper Intermediate (B2)
* PC Skills - Good knowledge of R3 and APO (SNP, DP, PPDS)
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
* Good knowledge of commercial functions
* Accurate and disciplined
* Willing to work with numbers
