This position is for 3rd Shift, 10:00pm - 6:30am

 

The Warehouse Operator II is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to support warehouse operations, in addition to being able to fulfill duties of Warehouse I as needed. This position plays a crucial role in the movement of materials, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving, and maintaining a well-organized work environment. The Warehouse II Operator reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and receives daily direction and guidance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move materials within the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to designated areas.
  • Load and unload trucks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against relevant documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and purchase orders.
  • Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or safety issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and updating inventory management systems.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas, ensuring materials are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members to coordinate daily activities, prioritize tasks, and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide updates, report issues, and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Pick, pack, and stage materials accurately for shipment, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks and other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1+ years’ experience in Manufacturing and or Warehousing
  • Ability to obtain valid forklift operator certification
  • Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills. (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Ability to follow safety procedures inclusive of Nestle’s Life Saving Rules
  • Ability to speak, read, write in English and comprehend simple instructions  
  • Physical ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs., stand, climb, bend, etc. within a warehouse / manufacturing environment.
  • Required to utilize and understand basic digital devices such as computers, iPad, etc.
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs
  • Follow SOPs, GMPs and all other company policies and processes
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and food allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish.
