A DAY IN THE LIFE...

 

1. Product Development:

  • Responsible for the development of the new products for Amata factory. Develop/implement the new formula, cosmetic, specification, etc. according to the project objectives described in NPDI brief.  Deliver the development results as per agreed the project timeline which established together with concern departments e.g. generating demand, purchasing and supply chain.
  • Responsible for existing product improvement, new/alternative raw materials driven by cost efficiency, consumer requirement etc.  
  • Conduct the industrial trial of the new/alternative raw materials to ensure the feasibility of the process.
  • Arrange products sample to NPP Zone AOA- TAG and regional laboratory for biannual testing, palatability testing, digestibility testing and product approval.
  • Establish the new technical specification for the new raw materials and ensure the current specifications is up to date. 

 

2. Formula Optimization:

  • Responsible for the formula optimization for the new product using FORMAT, communicate the approved master formula of the new products to factory via recipe transfer system.  Ensure that the master formula for new and existing products is up to date.
  • Ensure the level of ingredients used in the formula is complied with local/markets pet food regulation and NPP guideline.
  • Co-ordinate with NPP AOA Purchasing to ensure that the raw material price in FORMAT is up to date.
  • Ensure the formula optimization program /frequency is conducted according to the agreed optimization interval with NPP AOA TAG and factory management team.
  • Monitor the level of nutrition profile for each product/raw material and ensure the compliance with local/markets pet food regulation and NPP guideline.

 

3. Continuous Improvement: Active involvement in reviewing & analysing the performance of current/new products, recipes, current/new raw materials, & then activity seeking solutions to optimise/improve these current/new products, recipes, new/current raw materials.

4. Documentation: Issuer & maintain the manufacturing dossiers, specifications and related support procedure for the current/new products, recipes, raw materials and ensure that those documents are up to date.

 

5. GLOBE:  To support the implementation of Best Practices & continually reinforce the need for 100% accuracy of source data used for factory.  To be the coordinator between the factory and corporate level for any Globe activities and provide ongoing support, training & coaching to end supers of SAP.

 

6.  Communication: Provide & seek ongoing feedback & direction as planned or unplanned changes occur that can impact our business.

 

7.  Safety & Environment: To be aware of the Factory NSMS/NEMS programs & in your work activities to be conscious of safety & any potential impact on the environment.

 

ARE YOU A FIT?

 

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in food science and technology, Food Engineering and other related field.
  • GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, Food Safety Management Systems.
  • Good command of English with computer proficiency.
  • Knowledge of SAP system is preferable.
