As a Technology Expert – Connectivity at Nestlé’s headquarters in Rhodes, Sydney, you will be responsible for providing deep expertise and knowledge for the product or platform team in scope. In this role you will be responsible for adapting and localizing Connectivity products such as, WAN, LAN, Internet, Remote Access etc., from the global team according to regional and local requirements (e.g. regulatory requirements).

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

 

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, responsibilities of this role include:

 

  • Ensure IS/IT Customer and Consumer requirements are met, and service quality maintained when introducing new products. Consider the cost effectiveness of proposed solutions.
  • Ensure that all solutions within their technology area are delivered and maintained secure and compliant with internal standards and external regulations, including privacy requirements such as GDPR.
  • Assist others in resolving complex technical problems and investigating the root cause of problems and recommend SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely) solutions.
  • Participate in peer reviews of deliverables and carry out formal and informal reviews of technical designs, standards, documentation and implementations.
  • Provide deep specialist guidance, integration and support in your specific specialties.
  • Support and influence the technical activity (design, build, testing).
  • Make recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of services through the use of (emerging) technology, technical methods and methodologies.
  • Provide the product team with technical expertise, advising on best technology solutions, translating the business vision into technical vision.
  • Work with IS/IT Innovation managers, Product managers, Tech Leads, Solution Architects and Business Analysts to ensure any solution within their specificities fits with strategic and technical direction.

 

ARE YOU A FIT?

 

  • Joining a collaborative team of Specialists, you will be a strong team player with a history of delivering results in a high pressure and dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT and/or Business Environment experience within an enterprise / global environment, as well as a strong background in implementing MPLS solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in implementing and resolving IS/IT connectivity issues, including those involving 3rd party suppliers. 
  • Expertise in designing, implementing & supporting complex network architecture involving but not limited to Cisco LAN, Wireless, SDWAN, MPLS, Internet, SASE & Cloud service provides such as Azure & AWS. 
  • Providing ongoing evaluation of network in place and making recommendations for improvements and enhancements.   
  • Participate or lead complex network design, performance engineering or problem resolution projects with relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience in designing, implementing and supporting Multi-National Company networks in Mainland China.
  • Certification in corresponding technical fields preferred (e.g. CCNP, CWNA, CISSP).
  • Ability to understand the financial impact of technology alternatives, financial models and budgeting.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills are vital as you develop working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, such as service integrators, service provides and vendors across the globe. 
  • With stakeholders based in various time zones, flexibility is essential as you participate in teleconferences and activities outside of standard business hours.
