POSITION SUMMARY

 

This is an exciting new role, as the Category Development (CDT) & Commercial Planning Lead is responsible for the application of the Commercial Framework & Integrated Commercial Planning process (ICP) optimising both our global framework and local best practice. 

 

The role focuses on two priority areas;  First, you will be the leader for Nestle in the market for application and facilitation of Strategic Revenue Management (SRM) and Channel 360, and second, supporting the embedding of the SRM and Channel outcomes into the Nestle ICP process and Picture of Success.  

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

 

The role reports to the Head of Category Development and BSS, and works locally with Nestlé business units, CDT and Commercial Planning teams. It will also liaise closely with regional and global contacts including sales, CDT and systems and process teams.

 

Key outputs and deliverables will include:

 

  • Commercial Framework SRM: Adaption, deployment, embedding and facilitation of the global Strategic Revenue Management guidelines across Oceania
  • Commercial Framework Channel 360: Responsible for the adaption, deployment, embedding and facilitation of the Global Channel 360 guidelines across Oceania
  • Ownership of the Sales & CDT Data Strategy: Lead the data supplier relationship, sourcing of insights, and the application of data into the CDT planning tools and processes (SRM, Channel 360 and ICP).
  • Integrated Commercial Planning: Responsible for the rolling 18-month ICP process, ensuring the delivery of process disciplines, training and quality outputs
  • Customer Business Plan: Responsible for maintaining consistent commercial discipline and cross functional input in managing the CBP
  • Continuous Improvement: Accountable for the identification of opportunities for commercial systems to improve business practices in the Nestlé commercial team

 

ARE YOU A FIT?

 

You will be an experienced FMCG Category Development and/or Sales with demonstrated leadership skills and commercial acumen.

 

Requirements of the role include:

 

  • Degree qualified with minimum 8 plus years FMCG Sales &/or CDT experience in a large corporate environment
  • Broader business skills for example systems and finance will be highly valued
  • Experienced in implementing internal communications strategies and programs 
  • Understanding of content policies, protocols and standards
  • Commercial strategy design and implementation
  • Consumer, Category and Customer aware and skills in Category management and shopper insights

 

Along with your technical knowledge and experience, your success in this role will be supported by your ability to work to tight timeframes, prioritise effectively. You will have outstanding communication and presentation skills and well-honed negotiation abilities.
