Position Snapshot

We currently have an opportunity to play a pivotal role in our business as Category and Channel Strategy Development (CCSD) Manager for the Convenience & Impulse channel. The consistent growth of our brands is largely due to the innovation and expertise of our Sales, Marketing and Category teams, who ensure our market-leading products have a prime position on retailer shelves across Australia.

Position Summary

This role is primarily responsible for leading the development of strategic category planning, channel understanding, prioritisation and investment strategy for the convenience and impulse channel. You will achieve this through applying your commercial acumen in understanding and maximising shopper insights in the development of channel category strategies for execution in our customers’ stores.

 

Flexing your ability to analyse market – customer and shopper - data, you will develop strategies based on category and shopper understanding that will see growth through leadership with our customers. Building relationships at all levels and across multiple business units, you will develop effective point of purchase initiatives and leverage support for your strategic direction across a number of portfolios including confectionery, snacks and ready-to-drink. Essential to success in this position is previous experience in the Convenience & Impulse channel and extensive commercial capability.

  • Demonstrated customer management or brand experience as a Category Manager, National Account Manager, Brand Manager or Marketing Manager
  • Demonstrated strategic business planning & implementation skills
  • Financial acumen and awareness
  • A solid understanding of insight, trends and implications
  • The ability to influence cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to build, agree and execute a solid growth oriented strategy
