In this role as a Corporate Counsel, you will work as part of the Legal team to professionally manage legal issues in a timely and efficient fashion and in line with Nestlé Oceania’s business objectives.
- Act as first-point-of-contact to allocated business units, developing a strong commercial understanding of the business and being part of a cross-functional team.
- Provide pro-active and commercial legal advice to clients as required.
- Regularly provide input and advice at meetings of relevant business units.
- Participate in artwork and/or promotions approval process.
- Draft various legal agreements including manufacturing agreements, supply agreements, terms of trade, sponsorship agreements etc.
- Participate in training programmes as presenter/leader, in subjects such as Competition & Consumer Law, Privacy and Contracts.
- Work autonomously on individual matters for clients, consulting with colleagues and Senior Corporate Counsel / General Counsel as necessary.
- Handle special projects/large matters as required and ensure satisfactory and timely information on progress is provided to Senior Corporate Counsel / General Counsel for consideration of strategic decisions.
- 2+ years’ post-admission legal experience, either with a law firm only (including general commercial law), or law firm + corporate.
- Excellent legal drafting skills.
- Strong customer service focus and commitment to accuracy.
- Passionate about working for Nestlé and sharing its purpose.
