The Opportunity

 

We’re looking for a passionate and commercially savvy Customer Business Manager to join our Nestlé Oceania sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming our business within the fast growing eCommerce channel, through leading customer relationships, building joint business plans, managing commercial investment and executing strategic category initiatives which deliver sustainable long-term growth for Nestlé and our customers in this channel.

 

A day in the life of...

 

Reporting into the Head of Customer eCommerce, you will be joining a passionate sales team, driven by delivering results, building leading customer partnerships and reshaping the future of grocery retail to win with shoppers.

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

 

  • Leading the customer relationship with eCommerce customers like Amazon for our Nestlé Grocery Business
  • Developing Customer Joint Business Plans, working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders on the category opportunity, commercial investment plan and sign-off
  • Executing the plan, working with marketing, category and the eCommerce team on ensuring continued alignment and delivery of the agreed initiatives
  • Participating in the monthly business planning process – working with supply chain and our commercial operations team on forecasting, monitoring performance, identifying opportunities and mitigating risks to the plan
  • Trade spend management, working with our eCommerce Next Gen to forecast and ensure efficient and effective use and ongoing optimisation of commercial investment
  • Collaborate with supply chain to drive operational efficiencies both internally and with our customers
  • Capability building, liaising with our global eCommerce teams to advance local knowledge on the Pureplay eCommerce channel and bring new ideas to the local market

 

What will make you successful

 

  • An understanding of the Pureplay eCommerce channel, in particular Amazon
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to create value for both Nestlé and our partners
  • Experience navigating a large organisation and building cross-functional relationships
  • The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in Account Management; ideally within FMCG.  
  • You will be passionate, driven and proactive about delivering opportunities
  • As a true partner to the business and customer, you are a confident communicator and have the ability to adapt communicate style with stakeholders. 
  • You will be results focused and be motivated to achieve the best results for both Nestlé and your customer.
  • You will have a proven track record of success in exceeding targets & developing relationships with key customers.
