Working on some of the most iconic global and local confectionary brands such as MAGGI, Kit Kat, Milkybar, Allen’s and Smarties, you will be joining the largest Food and Beverage Company in the world. 


A fantastic opportunity exists for a Development Chef Technologist to join the MAGGI Applications Meals team based in our corporate headquarters in Rhodes. This role will support and contribute to the development, innovation and renovation of products, processes and systems from inception through all stages of development.


This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Development Technologist and Chef who is wanting to work within a corporate environment with household brand names.


A day in the life…


Reporting to the Business Applications Manager, key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Prepare and Lead Sensory Panels for various purposes such as new product development (NPD), competitor panels, etc.
  • Formulate both new and renovation products
  • Develop Recipe Specification, Labelling Copy including Allergens, Ingredients, NIP, and COO declarations.
  • Development of Product and preparation concepts for new business opportunities.
  • Prepare product and competitor Lunch activities
  • drive continuous improvement through reformulation cost savings and Carbon reduction 
  • Provide strong culinary guidance to team members and support projects to deliver innovative and competitive products, processes and systems in line with consumer needs.

 

What will make you successful

 

  • You will be a strong team player with a drive to deliver quality outcomes with efficiency and with a passion for continuous process improvement. 
  • Culinary certification or Degree in Food Science / Technology.
  • Up to date knowledge of quality, HACCP requirements.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of Culinary experience in Industry. 
  • Significant global culinary knowledge.
  • You will be highly articulate and strong communication and presentation skills
  • Enjoy working within cross-functional teams in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive and results focused.
  • Ideally you will have previous kitchen experience
