We are looking for Finance Analyst – Distribution to join our Finance and Control team based in Rhodes. In this role, the Finance Analyst will provide support and expertise in Supply chain budgeting, accounting, and analysis. Undertake complex and critical research, interpret the results of analysis, and provide alternatives / recommendations for further consideration.

 

A day in the life of...

 

Reporting to Supply Chain Controller, key responsibility of the role include:

 

  • Prepare budgets for Supply Chain activities (Variable distribution, Fixed distribution and Bad Goods); including the build-up of the various simulation phases together with the Supply Chain teams and Warehouse Management team.  
  • Partner with Distribution Center Managers in the 3 DCs in Australia to build the ownership / accountability of the costs at the DCs and drive the desired financial outcomes
  • Performance analysis and reporting of actuals vs forecasts across supply chain activities and fixed overheads; ensure transparency, accuracy and timeliness of this process.
  • Follow up and monitor progress to close gaps, ensuring Nestle financial policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed by promoting ownership of data at source. 
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and support analysis in relation to performance tracking of Supply chain costs / savings initiatives, including labour productivity analysis, transportation cost analysis by lanes, outside storage analysis, Working capital analysis etc.
  • Contribute to Benchmarking exercises, where required.
  • Post relevant journals for Supply Chain activities.
  • Perform validation of savings initiatives and perform post implementation reviews.

What will make you successful

 

  • Joining a collaborative team, you will be a strong team player with a history of delivering results in a high-pressure environment. You have the demonstrated ability to adapt to fast pace changes. You will have a natural passion for data and an eye for detail.
  • You will ideally be degree qualified in finance and have at least 4 years’ experience in Accounting or Costing, preferably within Supply Chain operations.
  • You will have strong technical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 
  • Have advanced excel skills. Experience working with SAP Finance module are preferred.
  • You will possess outstanding communication skills and have the flexibility to adapt your style to suit your audience.
     

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
