Nestlé are looking for an exceptional and results driven Head of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE). In this role you will be part of our senior leadership team and oversee all aspects of SHE across our operations across Oceania. 

 

  • You will be responsible for creating a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace for everyone. 
  • You will lead and manage safety, health, and environment (SHE) programs and initiatives.

A day in the life…


Reporting to the Director, Technical & Production, key responsibilities of the role include:

 

  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing SHE strategies, policies and standards that align with our vision, mission and values. 
  • You will also be accountable for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and best practices, as well as fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • As the Head of SHE, you will lead a team of SHE professionals and collaborate with various stakeholders, including employees, managers, contractors, customers, suppliers, regulators and community groups.
  • You will also monitor and report on SHE performance, risks and opportunities, and drive corrective and preventive actions as needed.

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Joining a collaborative team of Specialists, you will be a strong leader with a history of delivering results in a high pressure and dynamic environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as engineering, science, occupational health and safety, environmental management or related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in SHE management, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, influencing and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement SHE strategies, policies and standards that support business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Sound knowledge of SHE legislation, regulations and best practices, as well as emerging trends and issues.
  • Experience in managing SHE audits, inspections, investigations, and incident response.
  • Experience in leading and developing SHE teams and fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
