An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Account Manager with strong stakeholder relationship abilities to step into the unique arena of the Pet Care Category.

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Our Pet Specialty Team has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative sales professional with drive to take ownership of the Rural and Independent accounts within the Pet Specialty Channel. This position incorporates all aspects of Account Management encompassing the development and execution of the Business Development Plan, and the strategic investment of trade spend.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

 

Joining a passionate and dynamic team you will make a key contribution to the success of the Pet Speciality channel with the successful management of your customer portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Developing and implementing a clear strategy and business plan to deliver on account objectives
  • Maximising the distribution of the Purina range and optimising in-store layout and position to achieve trade standards
  • Managing the execution, communication and review of promotional strategies utilising key initiatives to maximise the visibility of the product portfolio
  • Managing communication to relevant internal and external stakeholders who assist in the achievement of account objectives including new lines, trade standards and core ranging objectives
  • Completing quarterly market updates and insights for the Specialist Channel
  • Conducting analysis of regular pricing reviews & providing recommendations

 

ABOUT YOU

 

With a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, in managing Pet Specialty Independent accounts, you will be solutions focussed and have the courage and creativity to push the boundaries to achieve desired outcomes for the business and the customer. An analytical mindset is required as you deep dive into performance indicators and drive improvements in business processes and results.

 

With previous experience in a customer facing role you will demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. You will be commercially savvy and have a history of building successful relationships with your customers and stakeholders. Degree qualifications are preferred.
