An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Account Manager with strong stakeholder relationship abilities to step into the unique arena of the Pet Care Category.
Our Pet Specialty Team has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative sales professional to join our team as an account manager on a 12 month fixed term contract. This position incorporates all aspects of Account Management including the development and execution of the Business Development Plan, and the strategic investment of trade spend.
A day in the life of...
Joining the team, you will see you make key contributions to the success of the Pet Speciality Channel with the successful management of your customer portfolio. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Developing and implementing a clear strategy and business plan to deliver on account objectives
- Maximising the distribution of the Purina range and optimising in-store layout and position to achieve trade standards
- Managing the execution, communication and review of promotional strategies utilising key initiatives to maximise the visibility of the product portfolio
- Managing communication to relevant internal and external stakeholders who assist in the achievement of account objectives including new lines, trade standards and core ranging objectives
- Completing quarterly market updates and insights for the Specialist Channel
- Conducting analysis of regular pricing reviews & providing recommendations

To succeed in the role, you will ideally have the following attributes:
- Proven experience working in a similar account management role.
- A solution focus and the courage and creativity to push the boundaries to achieve desired outcomes for the business and the customer.
- An analytical mindset as you deep dive into performance indicators and drive improvements in business processes and results
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Commercial acumen and a history of building successful relationships with your customers and stakeholders
- A degree qualification (preferred)
- Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
