We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance and Control team based in Rhodes. In a role that offers broad exposure to the financial services within a complex, global FMCG, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your knowledge and launch a long-term career in finance. Joining a collaborative team environment, you will enjoy a role that is a mix of routine activities, ad hoc queries and ongoing projects.

A day in the life of...

 

  • Providing financial support to a variety of internal stakeholders
  • Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Travel & Expense solution for Oceania (Concur), including providing audit support, issue resolution and coordination with different teams.
  • Follow-up and resolution of Concur audit errors and monitor within the agreed timeframe.
  • Continuously challenge processes and initiate improvements while promoting best practice.
  • Preparing journals accurately and on time.
  • Supporting the monthly book close process.
  • Analyse data, compile information and prepare reports pertaining to statutory and internal requirements. Meet internal and external timelines.
  • Work closely with business partners to support and action finance services tasks and Decision Support initiatives.
  • Close collaboration with offshore NBS counterparts on day to day operational issues
  • Analysing data, compiling information and preparing reports pertaining to statutory and internal requirements
  • Ensuring adhering to standards set by Best Practice, Nestle Accounting Standards (NAS)in AP function 

Are you a fit?

 

  • Joining a collaborative team, you will be self-motivated, proactive and have a proven capacity to work effectively within a team environment. 
  • You will be results focused accountant with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a large corporate environment. 
  • Accounts Payable background would be an advantage.
  • A strong problem solver, you will demonstrate ability to tailor your communication to suit your audience and the initiative to identify process improvements whilst promoting best practice. 
  • University qualifications and intermediate Excel skills are essential. 
  • Experience with SAP (General Ledger) will be highly regarded.

 

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
