Position Summary

 

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an experienced Network Engineer to join our IT team based in Rhodes, Sydney. Acting as a Single Point of Contact for markets on IT Shared Services, this role will perform and deliver the Market IT Services by collecting market business requirements, providing technical assistance, and coordinating cross team activities. 

 

A day in the life…

 

Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Operations Lead, key responsibilities of the role include:

 

Workforce Devices Technology & Deployment:

  • Test, Implement and maintain Nestlé’s standard LAN/Wi-Fi/RF scanner device builds
  • Perform Market Application Testing and validation of cutovers/outages/upgrades
  • RF Device Implementation and Sustain within the Market Factory locations


IT Platform Technology & Deployment (Design, Implement and Configure):

  • Manage Cisco routing, switching and wireless technology
  • Proven experience with Cisco core routing protocols including (RIP, OSPF, BGP, EIRGP, VRF)
  • Azure/AWS networking


Service Delivery & Operations:

  • Implement and manage high level of engagement with Field Services and Local IT Business Solutions, acting as first level escalation for your allocated markets' issues.
  • Perform and coordinate delivery of L2/L3 support for all LAN/Wi-Fi/WAN services to allocated markets.
  • Deliver according to agreed KPIs and compliant to Policies, Standards and Guidelines.
  • Provide expertise guidance and required support on the deployment of IT projects and assigned tasks
  • Manage LAN/Wi-Fi/RF/IoT devices. 
  • Hardware procurements & lifecycle (Design and validate purchases against Nestlé standards)
  • Install LAN/Wi-Fi hardware during projects. Design LAN/Wi-Fi requirements for upgrades or greenfield sites
  • Liaise with reseller / Cisco TAC / IT Crisis management for complex faults
  • Perform after hours activities to minimise business impact
  • Request local and global Firewall comm matrix changes
  • Support with Nestle vendor local RAS VPN infrastructure


Security & Compliance:

  • Responsible for allocated markets' Security & Risk management, Security and Compliance KPIs
  • Ensure both Management and progression of all items and Instances related to Security & Risk management, Security and Compliance KPIs are addressed, handled, and closed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Security Assessments and support for all Security Audits and ensure LAN/Wi-Fi/WAN/IoT compliance.

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Joining a collaborative team of Specialists, you will have a proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role delivering IS/IT Services. 
  • Possess good technical skills covering: Cisco routing, switching and wireless technology, Cisco core routing protocols including (RIP, OSPF, BGP, EIRGP, VRF) and Azure/AWS networking
  • Project management knowledge.
  • Experience with an ITIL based globally managed service organization and major incident management.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Good understanding of all areas of IT, programming, data analysis and security protocols.
