POSITION SUMMARY

To drive the development and implementation of sourcing strategies that deliver value in the Logistics categories.  This role includes working closely with multiple stakeholders to understand business needs, drive outcomes and deliver value through sourcing activities, process improvements and negotiations.

A DAY IN THE LIFE...

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading procurement-related activities to deliver value in identified categories, including understanding business needs across multiple business units, driving key initiatives and working closely with Regional procurement
  • Supporting stakeholders in delivering outcomes that meet their business needs and driving process improvements
  • Supplier performance management, reporting and issue resolution
  • Being the first point of contact for the business
  • Providing insights to support cost management, budgets and provide timely visibility in relation to risks and opportunities
  • Lead or support initiatives across the broader Procurement team     
ARE YOU A FIT?
  • The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience in procurement, with an understanding of the end-to-end procurement processes and success in delivering procurement projects with cross-functional and cross-market teams.
  • You have the ability to successfully drive and deliver projects, and understand end-to-end processes
  • You are a problem solver, proactive and strong in implementing sustainable solutions to address business needs and/or issues
  • You have excellent project management, collaboration, influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills, and experience with managing stakeholders and suppliers
  • You have strong analytical skills and an understanding of risk management
  • Experience within FMCG and Logistics procurement, coupled with experience in a multi-national or complex local environment, will be viewed favourably. A can-do attitude and desire to learn will see you succeed in this role.          

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
