The Opportunity:


We have an exciting opportunity for a  Supply Planner to join our team in Rhodes. To manage the Supply Network of the assigned area of the business by replenishing each dispatch point to meet customer service objectives whilst maintaining optimal stock cover that also takes into account the cost optimisation.

 

A day in the Life: 

 

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the responsibilities include:

 

  • Consistently achieve sustainable Customer Order Fulfilment levels for domestic and Inter-Market Supply (IMS) customers within the Working Capital and Freshness objectives by ensuring that the weekly planning process is executed on time
  • Supply planning: Analyse and evaluate the supply plan and net despatch requirements to satisfy customer needs taking into account the network complexity and the supply constraints.
  • Capacity Planning: Work with Factory Logistics in establishing short and long term production and capacity plans to meet stock cover, cost and service requirements.
  • Manage daily supply execution from order creation to Order ATP for local Market supply
  • Exceptions management: Analyse exceptions, to take business decisions (based on priorities or after arbitration) and to adjust planning results accordingly.
  • Establish production requirements for short and long term and to follow up production plans.                        
  • Analyse and effectively communicate relevant information - Highlighting all supply issues - Detailing impacts of proposed actions and related trade-offs. Ensuring actions and Supply Plans are realistic and achievable In accordance with the Business Planning process                    
  • Establish stock policies for Finished Goods. To do this for Inter Market Supply together with Planners of Receiving Markets. Periodically review the stock level of the domestic and the receiving markets to pro-actively look for solutions in case of deviations
  • Establish stock policies for Raw & Packaging Materials: - Work with Factory Logistics in establishing correct stock policies for raw, packaging  and semi-finished materials to meet stock cover and service requirements                        
  • Challenge manufacturing on regular basis to manage lot sizes, cycle times and R&P inventory levels, to drive optimum FG inventory level. Also, to challenge and support Demand Planner (Domestic and IMS) to improve Demand Planning Accuracy        
  • Determine key issues with volume variance that may impact supply, and highlight to MPS Planner by - challenging existing Logistics and Supply Planning processes and tools - implementing improvements to deliver tangible benefits (e.g.: time savings, increased efficiencies, etc.) - monitoring requirements evolution                
  • Deliver sustained IMS performance across imports and exports, including IMS brief coordination (create, populate, gain approvals, ensure active IMS briefs for all IMS partnerships).        
  • Inventory Management: Balance the need for product availability versus the need to minimise costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location at the right time                     

 
What makes you successful: 


Two or more years of relevant operational experience at market / business level is useful, in at least one of the following areas:          

 
•    Factories - production            
•    Foreign trade - Inter Market Supply             

•    Factory Logistics            
•    other Demand and Supply Planning positions            
•    OIT (Operations Improvement Team) •    Helpful to have had exposure in Customer Solutions / Physical Logistics    
•    Desirable to have had worked in a LEAN organization, who has adapted LEAN concepts and tools as part of their way of working.
