Position Summary

 

The Decision Support Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to aid decision-making within the organization. This role involves the collection, analysis, and presentation of data to form strategic and operational decisions. The role of DF Analyst also encompasses the sales controlling which involves managing the sales budget and related expenses like Trade Spend, PFME.

 

This position emphasizes the importance of strategic support in driving business performance and requires a blend of financial analysis, system management, and collaboration across functions.

 

Key Outputs:

  1. Data Analysis: Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.                                            
  2. Reporting: Prepare and present reports that summarize findings and support business decisions.                                      
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to gather data and understand their analytical needs.                                              
  4. Forecasting: Assist in the development of financial forecasts and budgets based on historical data and market trends.                                    
  5. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the decision-making framework.                                                 
  6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures as well as compliance to the Credit control policy. 
  7. Sales Controlling:
    • Function as a co-pilot in the commercial organization in daily operations.
    • Provide periodic reports and financial information for sales management.
    • Prepare monthly forecasts and facilitate sales meetings.
    • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support business strategies.
    • Support business decision-making, including involvement in business cases.
    • Pre-evaluation (before promo)
    • Post-evaluation (after promo)
    • New & existing customer-related promo analysis
    • Analyze and evaluate net prices and profitability at the customer level.
    • Support and validate the pricing framework.
    • Assist internal and HQ reporting.                                      
  8. Trade Spend and PFME:
    • Oversee the overall trade-spend planning and track actuals.
    • Prepare the budget, track trade marketing expenses.
    • Perform accounting reconciliations and ensure system (SAP) provisions are supported.
    • Review  and validating claims and deductions related to trade-spend.
    • Regular preparation of reports to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  9. Support the delivery of F&C mission within the BU, provide training needs within BU                                                                                                  

Key Experiences:

 

    • Educational Background: A degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
    • Experience : Three years of relevant experience in financial analysis or reporting, preferably within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
    • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, well organizedation, and planning abilities.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
    • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships across departments.
