Position Summary

The Sr Customer Account Analyst owns the internal communication and building of data analytics to support the team’s needs while being responsible for the collaboration and analytical sales work to deliver on our key NCP annual business goals. 

This position is accountable for capturing specific sales data on our business (what) with supportive insights (why) in the tracking of our business, coming with recommendations to the Customer Team with the data and fact based information to support recommendations. This includes such areas as total BU forecasting, business planning, financial analysis and builds in order to track our business reporting. 

 

Leads in Analytics: Utilizes tools available through NCP as well as builds, creates and customizes data tracking to support our business needs. 

Forward Looking in Data: Monitors and anticipates our business results and needs that support our growth with Albertsons. Ensures that we are utilizing the right tools to support this effort collectively to come with a clear and decisive position.

3Voice of the Insights: Provides collective team a point of view on the trends and insights as well as forward looking view to support cross-functional departments. Collaborating and aligning with these departments is critical to support our future customer needs (i.e. supply, displays, seasons)  

Data Management Lead: Develops and or integrates new programs, systems or platforms that transition to Customer team (i.e. ISW-Osprey)

 

Responsibilities

  • Daily/Weekly Reporting-Provides analytics and insights on these critical reports. Leverages also for weekly forecast call with Director (AE Over-rides process).
  • CFR Prep & Leads-Works with AE’s and Director in build out of data and insights then delivers at monthly cross-functional sales forecasting meeting. 
  • Business Development – support Account Executives to drive overall business development and strategy in the areas of pricing, merchandising, shelving, assortment, and new item development. 
  • Pro-Planner-Updates and maintains critical information and data base 
  • Has a deep understanding of customer needs and priorities within covered categories (i.e. KPIs, business/category goals, etc.)
  • Identifies opportunities to gain distribution on new products and improve product exposure (shelf positioning, advertising, and promotions) – including monitoring what competitors are doing
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Forecasting, Supply Chain & Sales Planning) to leverage syndicated data and insights in order to drive value for NCP through assortment initiatives
  • Add key insights and trends specific to the customer assisting in the development of In-Market Planning, Quarterly Business Review, Monthly Business Review decks and any other as requested by leadership.  
  • Creates or customizes presentations for the categories they support by adding fact-based data and trends specific to the customer needs (Category, Competition, Customer, Consumer)

 

Summary of Experience Needed

  • High school Diploma – required
  • College BA/BS – preferred

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 2+ years of experience working with data i.e. Retail Link           
  • 2+ years of experience working with Nielsen and/or IRI and shelf software data  
  • 2+ years working with Sales forecast/ Trade funds management (TPM) systems
  • Proficient in setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple projects
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint
