Position Summary

While benefiting from Nestlé's expertise, Nestlé Nespresso is a strategic business unit in its own right, with its unique business model, having the end-to-end responsibility from coffee sourcing to marketing, delivering premium coffee products and services to the end-consumer through its diverse sales channels (Retail, e-Commerce, CRC).

 

As a Junior Quality Specialist for Roast and Ground Coffee, your will contribute to position Nespresso as the reference in Green Coffee Quality and Sustainable Product Development worldwide. As well as, drive the organization & execution of all operational activities on the PDC related to green coffee quality, innovation, renovation and development of Nespresso products. Moreover, you will develop a thorough understanding of each process step and its impact on the product quality.
 

A day in the life of a Junior Quality Specialist for Roast and Ground Coffee

 

  • Ensure quality of analyses in ISO 17025 accredited green coffee lab and Product Development Center, in collaboration with Nespresso Q-lab
  • Support the activities related to the extension of ISO 17025 Innovation Lab accreditation
  • Collect, monitor and interpret all data generated in green coffee lab and
  • Scout, develop and validate new analytical tools
  • Responsible to manage, analyze, exchange inferred technical results from Development
  • Preparation of green coffee samples
  • Coordinate stock management of raw material and packaging
  • Roasting, grinding and filling of coffees for Product Development
  • Physical, sensory and quality check of handmade capsules
  • Coordinate technical tastings of produced capsules
  • Plan and perform maintenance of PDC machines
What will make you successful

 

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Food Sciences, Chemistry
  • Experience in Good Laboratory Practices / in Food Industry
  • First experience in laboratory equipments is a strong plus
  • Quality-oriented mindset
  • Excellent work planning and prioritization abilities
  • Languages French & English. Spanish as plus
  • IT: Excel, Word, Power Point, SAP, LIMS, Outlook
  • Knowledge about statistical tools
  • Excellent motivation skills
  • Good Communicator
