Position Summary

 

In this position, you will provide end-to-end project leadership for packaging material innovation and renovation projects from brief to handover to the factory teams. You will identify improvement opportunities for packaging material in order to increase quality consistency, line & labor performance and to reduce costs. You will coordinate the roll out of these improvements to all factories. New packaging material specifications will be also under your responsibility.

A day in the life of a Packaging Specialist

 

  • Ensure that progress of packaging material projects is monitored in effective meetings and that adequate project management skills are employed with timelines, project progress, action plans and their follow-up documented in timely issued minutes
  • Identify improvement opportunities of packaging material based on systematic analysis
  • Provide operational support in case of dysfunctions and drive improvement process up to implementation
  • Ensure food contact material requirements are satisfied, specifically by obtaining relevant certificates
  • Develop & implement packaging material specifications
  • Support procurement in the selection, assessment and development of new suppliers
  • Ensure development of competencies of packaging & disseminate packaging best practices
What will make you successful

 

  • Degree in Packaging technology, material science, chemistry and physics
  • Experience in aluminum and laminates is an advantage
  • Strong project management skills
  • Problem solving approach
  • Packaging development and packaging operation experience or from converting industry
  • Fluent in English and French, German is a plus
