The role

As an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and instrumentation systems at our Nestlé manufacturing facility in Shah Alam, Selangor. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical expertise and contribute to the smooth and efficient operations of our state-of-the-art production plant.

Key responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment, including motors, control panels, automated systems, and sensors
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and instrumentation faults, and implement effective solutions to restore normal operation
Carry out routine inspections and testing of electrical and instrumentation systems to identify and address potential issues
Liaise with the engineering team to implement upgrades and modifications to the electrical and instrumentation infrastructure
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant safety standards and guidelines
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
Provide training and guidance to junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical or Instrumentation Technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems, including their design, installation, and troubleshooting
Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools, and the ability to interpret technical schematics and manuals
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve issues
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the continuity of production
Strong communication skills to liaise with engineers, operators, and other stakeholders
Commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
