We are looking for an Export/Import Subject Matter Expert to liaise with Government Authorities & OGA (Other Government Agency) and support both import and export related matters. Also, to lead implementation of projects and initiatives, sustained compliance of IMS processes, best practices, and standard routines in achieving IMS Customer Service Level at optimal costs.

A day in the life of...

•    Drive Customer Service focused mindset as a part of IMS development for all resources.
•    Coach and Develop capability of Import/export team to maintain a highly professional team in understanding the requirement of government authorities.        
•    Evaluate and identify waste in IMS processes and implement improvements where practicable.
•    Drive implementations of the IMS Import/Export best practices.
•    Communicate with government authorities and internal stakeholders
•    Liaise with senior officers in dealing with Malaysian Customs Authority, Department of Vets, Foreign Trade, Ministry of Health, and other related government departments to ensure smooth import/export operation.
•    Liaise with Internal stakeholders such as Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Affairs, Finance and Tax, Legal, businesses and other Supply Chain functions to ensure smooth Import/export process.
•    Support in critical or ad-hoc import/export issues which are related to MY Custom regulations & policies, such as Customs tariff & duty disputes and all regulation concerns. 
•    Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities in accordance with business requirement.
•    Endorse the projects with relevant management and mobilize resource. 
•    Responsible for project planned deliverables and sustainability.  

What will make you successful

•    At least 4 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management.
•    Preferable to have export/import logistics specific knowledge (esp. Ocean Freight, HS Codes, Documentation).
•    Previous experience in managing third party service providers and relationships with other key external bodies (Government agency).
•    Project management.
