We are looking for a Safety, Health & Environment Specialist to be based at our Singapore Head Office. You will advise the Management team in all aspects of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) with a strong focus on implementing Market-level initiatives. This includes developing & driving site initiatives leading to continuous improvement in SHE performance, in line with the Nestlé Continuous Excellence mindset of zero accidents and incidents and local regulations. In addition, you will also collaborate with vendors and procurement to ensure facilities and relocation services are carried out in compliance with internal policies and budget guidelines. 

 

A day in the life of...

Workplace Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

  • Initiate, apply and maintain Workplace safety standards adhering to Nestle's Workplace Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) policies and local regulations.
  • Practise and inculcate a safety culture for the Head Office and act as a custodian in advising and educating employees on matters related to workplace safety.
  • Develop safety calendar that includes fire drills, office inspection, safety briefing and related trainings etc.
  • Drive Workplace safety behaviors by promoting employees' awareness and provide guidance on Workplace safety best practices
  • Lead the team of Workplace Safety Committee in the Head Office, define committees' responsibilities and report Workplace safety related matters to the management team 
  • Report Workplace accidents or injuries, analyze causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Support SHE Manager in coordinating any SHE related activities in the Head Office.
  • Adhere to local regulations and advisory in safety measures in curbing COVID-19 spread at workplace.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure monthly compliance reports are prepared
  • Coordinate audits according to Group's requirement

Oversee Office Administration

  • Oversee the office administration in ensuring facility services and maintenance activities meet the expected quality standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors and procurement to ensure services are carried out in compliance with internal policies and budget guidelines.
  • Work with appointed relocation companies and provide advice and support on relocation services.

What will make you successful

  • Bachelors’ Degree with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in managing a team is required.
  • Positive, independent, responsible and meticulous and high collaborative team player.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders with excellent follow-up skills
  • Previous professional experience across safety, health and/or environmental areas 
  • Successfully demonstrated ability to manage change
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results through others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
