A day in the life of an Assistant Category Development Manager

  • Lead the channel thinking of the commercial teams, develop and implement channel strategies with a horizon of 12-18 months
  • Support Marketing in developing category strategies and flawlessly execute in the channels with a horizon of 12-18 months
  • Support Point of Purchase strategies and roll-out for Key Channels
  • Ownership of tactical activity agenda for selected channels (HORECA, B&I, Streets) and work with channel manager & distributors to ensure execution
  • Own the process; preparation of the monthly commercial review followed by leading the process and ensuring adequate capturing of the volumes in the CDP
  • Support and guide on management by effectively planning spend throughout the year and maximize spend effectiveness

 

What will make you successful

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years working experience in commercial as demonstrated as a category development / trade marketing (sales experience is a benefit) and (brand experience is a must)
  • Category product Knowledge (+ Category analysis)
  • Out-Of-Home experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated business planning & implementation skills (Project Management)
  • Experienced working with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong Communication and Presentation Skills
  • Well-verse in Microsoft office (Outlook, Teams, MS words, excel and PowerPoint)
  • Financial implication and awareness (P&L statement, supply chain reports etc)
  • TTS management
  • Category development
  • Promotion Management
  • POP development
