We are looking for a Customer Solutions Chef to drive business growth via Innovative Applications for Existing Customers and Recruit New Customers in the Food Service Sector.

 

A day in the life of...

 

  1. Pastry and Customer Development Chef to Singapore Team (Majority of time will be spent on this role)

 

  • Provide pastry related demos and training (at customer's location and in Nestle Customer Engagement Centre) to Nestle Professional (B2B) food service customers and sales team. Represent Nestle Professional and conduct demos at chef events; provide advisory, recipe support and execution of finished pastries to pitch to food service operators, using and promoting our Nestle Professional brands and skus (KITKAT, MILO, MAGGI etc)
  • Work with Brand Manager to ensure successful taste execution of all "Made with" initiatives prioritising focus channels (Cafes & Bakery, OEMs, Hotels, Institutional Catering). Support the channel sales managers to identify OEM opportunities for food service operators that serve confectionery.
  • Understand the channel needs, operator insights and consumer needs to develop relevant recipes and dishes to capitalise on the opportunities for long-term sustainable and profitable growth. Accurately interpret briefs from food service customers, and execute in accordance to their budget, brand positioning and product style.
  • Work closely with the OEM business development manager to ideate and execute with partner OEMs on ready to use; bake, and freeze-thaw pastries. Need to be able to travel to OEMs production factories to work with their chefs or production staff during ideation, R&D and launch execution
  • Work in tandem with hot culinary chef to ensure smooth execution of demos and duties in the Customer Engagement Centre, providing overall chef support to the sales team
  • Being an intergral team member within the Nestle Customer Engagement Centre (Main place of work) working cohesively with Culinary Chef and Barista to maintain smooth running of the Centre

 

2. Application Chef Support to Regional Office (project-based)

 

  • Provide chef support to RO team on pipeline innovations; including product stress test, recipe (ingredient R&D) development, concept visualisation and filming of demonstration videos to share with the Asia Pacific region
    (45% Confectionery, 30% Culinary Dairy and Beverage Dairy, 25% Savoury)
  • Presentation of recipes and concepts to international Key Account customers (May have some level of travelling) at C-Suite level
  • Understanding and correctly delivering customer briefs.

 

What Will Make You Successful...

  • Minimum 10 years chef experience from restaurants, hotels, catering functions or food manufacturing facilities
  • University / Diploma graduate, in Pastry Arts, with fair knowledge in culinary and hot cooking
  • Strong connection in F&B industry or participation in a chef association
  • Good command of English in oral and written, able to present confidently in front of large crowds and to C-suite level
  • Computer proficient, basic know-how on MS word, excel and powerpoint
  • Able to reproduce clear and concise recipes with costings and instructions for internal and external stakeholders, websites and training.
