We are looking for an Operations Financial Analyst to support the Nestle Purina Petcare (NPP) AOA Regional Ensuring Supply and Generating Demand teams working in dotted line as co-pilot. This role involves delivering accurate and timely financial reports and cost analyses to provide clear visibility into operational and commercial costs, which can be turned into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions and optimize performance for the ES & GD teams.This position is crucial for enhancing financial transparency and supporting strategic initiatives development & implementation across the region.

 

A day in the life of...

  • Act as the transfer price gatekeeper at the regional level by validating transfer prices and providing price movement commentary to the receiving market. Ensure strict adherence to Nestlé Accounting Standards (NAS) and Transfer Price Standards.
  • Support the financial oversight of CAPEX planning and implementation including regular monitoring of project costs against the budget, conducting post-investment evaluations to assess the justification and effectiveness of CAPEX expenditures, and ensuring alignment with financial and operational objectives.
  • Support procurement cost controlling by reporting and analyzing procurement performance such as PPV/Simplex savings, spend analysis, and key supplier performance and assist in the financial analysis for the development and implementation of regional strategic sourcing plans to optimize supplier selection and improve sourcing flexibility.
  • Support sustainability cost controlling and reporting by simulating the cost impact of sustainability initiatives, monitoring sustainability costs against the budget, and ensuring accurate reporting of actuals in the system, all while adhering to ESG standards.
  • Conduct cost benchmarking across the NPP network, with a primary focus on cost of production. Identify opportunity tto enhance cost management and manufacturing strategies through analyzing and comparing cost structures, identifing best practices, and evaluating NPP AOA competitive positioning.
  • Support regional PFME cost controlling and reporting by preparing PFME reports and conducting regular reviews of PFME with brand managers,  ensuring efficient and compliant management of PRPO processes and maintaining accuracy in monthly closings.
  • Deliver financial insights to the regional GD team by preparing detailed brand financial reports and offering in-depth analysis of brand and portfolio performance. Provide actionable recommendations to support strategic marketing decisions and optimize brand strategies.
  • Assist the GD team in the I2L process by verifying provisional transfer price assumptions to ensure they are accurate and aligned before finalizing for market release. Additionally, ensure the accuracy and reasonableness of the consolidated P&L during the I2L stage gate, providing financial oversight to support informed decision-making.
  • Conduct ad-hoc simulations, including cost-benefit analyses for savings and investment projects, as well as P&L simulations for recipe improvements and raw and pack optimization to support strategic decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives such as developing Power BI visuals to enhance financial visibility for key stakeholders and leveraging advanced business object tools or coding to boost the efficiency and accuracy of reporting.

 

What will make you successful...

  • Formal finance/accounting qualification of appropriate level (degree or equivalent)
  • Formal accountancy qualification - CA/CPA (recommended) 
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a commercial / operation controlling role
  • Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry experience
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications – in particular Excel & PowerPoint, PowerBi
  • Good working knowledge of SAP financial modules including BW
