Position Summary
In this orole you will ensure effective implementation of the SHE plans, including effective risk management procedures that are in compliance with local legislation and Nestlé SHE standards and principles .
You will also ensure that the site is under control for employees, contractors and visitors, correct signage and with relevant risks effectively managed. 

 

A day in the life of the Safety Health and Environment Manager & RSPP

  • Propose modifications to the plans as required during the implementation journey to reflect changes in risk
  • Ensure high standards of health & hygiene conditions for workers, with appropriate emergency medical response
  • Ensure that specific safe working practices are in place with a focus on high frequency risks (eg slips, trips, falls, injuries from sharp points and edges) and high hazard tasks (eg work at height, critical lifting, hot work)
  • Ensure training and coaching is provided to team leaders to develop their knowledge of risk management, legislation and duties. Provide personal coaching and support
  • Ensure team leaders receive trusted guidance & support on SHE matters.  Identify and leverage expertise and good practices from inside and outside Nestlé
  • Deliver high quality and efficient SHE support, eg exposure monitoring, health promotion, health surveillance, training
  • Ensure compliance is regularly audited and performance assessed, and the results used to drive further improvement. Promote effective communication of successes and learnings, and recognition for strong performers and contributors
  • Support Nestlé Continous Excellence/LEAN initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement in Safety / Health / and Environmental Sustainability proposing targets and driving initiatives
  • Maintain ISO 14.001 and ISO 45.001 Certifications.

 

What will make you successful

  • At least 3 years in a similar role as SHE Manager and RSPP 
  • A previous experience in a Food factory and in Total Performace Management will be a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of current legislation on safety at work
  • Microsoft Office management at an advance level (mainly Excel, Power Point)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Work under pressure and ability to manage multiple and varied tasks simultaneously so to comply with internal and regulatory deadlines
  • Working well within a team with strong ledership skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Fluent in English and Italian
