Minimum Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma
in Food Science & Technology, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering

Minimum Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing Excellence

Nestlé Nigeria is currently looking to fill the role of Manufacturing Excellence Specialist, whose responsibility would be to provide professional support related with the operational performance and efficient utilization of the manufacturing assets, considering total delivered cost, quality and service. Also includes the implementation and support of best practice and business initiatives, ensuring the effective implementation in the factory/business/market.

 

A day in the life of the Manufacturing Excellence Specialist:

  • Provides professional support related with the operational performance and efficient utilization of the manufacturing assets, considering total delivered cost, quality and service.
  • Implementation and support of best practice and business initiatives, ensuring the effective implementation in the factory/business/markets.
  • Setting of and establishment/ development of standards (Line, Labour, Energy and Material) and KPIs in the Factory.
  • Develop and publish dashboards & operational review platforms using PowerBI, Powerapps, sharepoint and Teams
  • Conduct line studies to improve productivity of lines and effective utilization of resources.
  • Analyze factory losses performance data and initiate relevant projects to eliminate losses.
  • Lead Focused Improvement project work groups tackling specific losses across all functions.
  • Ensure knowledge of standard for measuring manufacturing performance, Capacity Summary Tool, DMO (Digital Manufacturing Operations) within the factory at relevant levels in the factory.
  • Champion digital transformation within the factory, working with relevant stakeholders to ideate, implement and train new and existing digital solutions

 

What Will Make You Successful?

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Food Science & Technology, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing Excellence
  • Minimum of 2 years leading 6 Sigma/DMAIC projects.
  • Intermediate level of Data Analytics with good use in MS Excel, Power BI and Powerapps
  • High Learning Agility
  • Strong operational experience within the factory
  • Good experience in Change or Transformation Programmes / Project Management.
