Position Summary

We are now looking for a Project Draftsman to join our Technical & Production team at Flowergate Factory. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role will produce various project drawings, including spare-parts drawings and factory and plant layouts. The Project Draftsman will ensure drawing details conform to design principles during construction and installation, connect approved drawings with actual site execution and OEM equipment requirements, and maintain accurate project documentation.

A day in the life of a Project Draftsman:

• Engineering drawings: Produce, revise and interpret accurate project drawings, including spare-parts drawings, factory layouts, plant layouts and technical details.

• Design and site alignment: Verify that construction and equipment installation on site conform to approved drawings and design principles, and capture required as-built changes.

• OEM coordination: Synchronize drawings with OEM equipment delivery and requirements to ensure alignment between technical design and project execution.

• Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with Project Engineers, Factory Engineering, project designers, consultants, vendors, contractors and suppliers to support first-time-right delivery.

• Drawing configuration management: Maintain drawing controls, revision history, version management, approvals and distribution throughout the project lifecycle.

• Technical documentation: File, retrieve, update and securely manage project drawings, layouts, as-built records and other project-related documents.

• Project design support: Support the basic and detailed design phases in line with project charters, User Requirements Specifications, local regulations and Nestlé standards.

• Project implementation: Support engineering activities involving buildings, equipment erection, piping, utilities and other site modifications in line with timing, cost, quality and safety requirements.

• Start-up and handover: Support qualification, verification, start-up and handover activities, including the preparation and distribution of final engineering documentation.

• Safety, quality and ways of working: Deliver timely, accurate outputs while applying Nestlé SH&E, quality and engineering requirements and demonstrating speed over perfection, collaboration over consensus, learning over knowledge and courage over comfort.

What will make you successful:

• HND/BSc or equivalent in Engineering or a related Engineering/Drafting discipline.

• Minimum of two years’ experience in capital investment project development and implementation in the food industry.

• Strong capability in producing, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, factory layouts, plant layouts and technical details.

• Demonstrated ability to connect drawings with actual site execution and verify that construction and installation conform to approved designs.

• Strong drawing and document-control capability, including revision management, filing, retrieval and maintenance of accurate as-built records.

• Good understanding of engineering, manufacturing, safety and quality requirements in an industrial or factory environment.

• Experience collaborating with Project Engineers, Factory Engineering, OEMs, project designers, consultants, vendors and contractors.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision, apply speed and deliver accurate, first-time-right outputs within project timelines.

• Strong attention to detail, integrity, communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to safety, compliance, confidentiality and continuous improvement.

• Project Management Certification is an added advantage, together with openness to new technology, change and ongoing learning.
