About the Role

 

We are looking for a highly analytical and business-focused finance professional to join our Finance & Control team as a Manager - Accounts & Milk Payroll based out of Samalkha Factory. In this role, you will be responsible for driving robust accounting processes, financial controls, fixed asset accounting, period-end closing activities, and cost management initiatives. You will also play a critical role in managing the milk value chain, including farmer payments, milk costing, supplier negotiations, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Controls

  • Ensure accurate accounting transactions in compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate period-end closing activities and maintain adherence to reporting timelines.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, capitalization processes, depreciation, and asset reconciliations.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding accounting issues.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with company accounting policies and standards.
  • Drive financial governance and continuous improvement in accounting operations.

 

Budgeting, Cost Management & Analysis

  • Manage and control Fixed Factory Overhead (FFOH) and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Monitor expenses, perform variance analysis, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activities while ensuring accuracy of financial estimates.
  • Support business decision-making through data-driven insights and financial analysis.

 

Milk Payroll & Milk Value Chain Management

  • Lead end-to-end milk payroll operations ensuring timely and accurate farmer and agent payments.
  • Manage milk costing, pricing analysis, and value chain reporting.
  • Oversee milk collection controls, transporter reconciliations, and recovery processes.
  • Evaluate milk procurement proposals and support cost negotiations with suppliers and partners.
  • Monitor milk value chain performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Benchmark competitor pricing and field costs to support commercial decisions.

 

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Deliver regular operational and financial reports related to milk procurement and factory performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Services, and Factory Finance.
  • Act as a key contact for audit and compliance-related activities.

 

Experience, Skills & Education Qualification

Education: CA/MBA (Finance)

Experience: 2-3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or Manufacturing Finance

 

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong accounting and financial control knowledge.
  • Experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to derive insights from large and unstructured datasets.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications.

 

Behavioral Competencies

  • Strong stakeholder management and networking skills.
  • Negotiation skills, particularly in supplier/vendor management environments.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across functions.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
